Thanks to you we push green projects forward !

Every year we award three young and inspiring leaders who have managed to make an extraordinary contribution to protecting nature and the environment. This year we can proudly introduce you to Lusanda, James and Panha and their sprouting green projects, thanks to your nominations

Lusanda Msebi is an active climate change citizen. She runs initiatives of awareness focused on illegal dumping and water saving in the community of Motherwell, Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.  She does clean ups and she is the Vice Chairperson of the Motherwell Community and Enviro Hub which works with waste collection, recycling and upcycling of waste to assist in addressing the issue of illegal dumping in Motherwell. She aims to create a youth involvement in the conversation of climate change.

Ly Sokunpanha (Panha) is a driven individual who is adamant about protecting bees, especially native bees of Cambodia. She was chosen to be one of the 15 mentees on the UNICEF Generation Future projects after her project idea was chosen. UNICEF’s Generation Future grants have given her the opportunity to pursue her long time passion of studying and educating others about bees.

Watuwa James founded Endangered Wildlife Conservation Organization (EWCO), Uganda’s first nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. Because the status of amphibian populations is an important indication of the health condition of wetlands and watercourses, James' work is not only strengthening local data collection about amphibians, but it is also helping to monitor the health of local ecosystems.
