Overview

Impact Hub Kigali led the implementation of the Circular Economy Acceleration Program, designed to support start-ups or companies to become more sustainable by applying Circular Economy principles. For more details on the 6-month acceleration programme, click here.

Our engagement

We partnered with Impact Hub to provide funding for the companies to continue the implementation of the circular economy innovations developed in the programme. The four enterprises are AFLIMBA, Kosmotive, Ngozi Naturals, and Sanit Wing.

AFLIMBA produces ‘kintsugi’ bags made out of recycled jeans. Kosmotive makes recyclable pads, Ngozi Naturals reuses glass jars and wine bottles for packaging for their body balms, and Sanit Wing Ltd makes biodegradable packaging made from bamboo for their cosmetics.

“We are thrilled to welcome these ventures to the BESTSELLER Foundation community. A community we continuously seek to grow in Rwanda and beyond. We're excited about everything that's happening in this space - it truly is an interesting time for us as a circular economy investor to get a foothold here.” said Jannek Hagen, BESTSELLER FOUNDATION.
