Exciting news! BESTSELLER Foundation is proud to announce our participation in the $3.3m seed round of Kubik, Inc., an innovative upcycling startup in Africa.
With global plastic waste expected to triple by 2060, Kubik is set to lead the charge in plastic waste reuse and sustainability efforts on the continent. By transforming hard-to-recycle plastic waste into affordable building materials, Kubik aims to remove 45,000 kgs of plastic waste from landfills daily. Their innovative approach not only addresses the plastic pollution crisis but also tackles the global affordable housing deficit.
Joining a great group of investors (incl. Global Innovation Initiative Group, Plug and Play Tech Center, Savannah Fund, Kazana Fund, Unruly Capital, Princeton Alumni Angels, JLL), we are thrilled to partner with Kidus Asfaw, Ndeye Penda Marre and the rest of the team on their transformative journey towards a circular economy and low-carbon construction.
