Thank you for all your nominations, we've found our three Young Environment Ambassadors '23: Israel Smart, Hellena Sailas and Foday David Kamara! 

Israel is addressing the food security issue in Nigeria by creating hydroponic farming solutions. 

Hellena is targeting the plastic waste issue in Tanzania by recycling plastic waste into eco-bricks for construction of pit latrines and water tanks. 

Foday is working to improve the challenges of urban waste management in Sierra Leone by recycling waste into construction material like bricks and paving tiles.  

A big thank you to the judges Wassa Cisse (Senior Business Development Analyst, Africa Growth Fund), Olivia Volery Vendelbo (CSR & Sustainability Responsible, BESTSELLER), Idah Murithi (YEAA Awardee '21) and Malene Rasmussen (Circular Design Specialist, BESTSELLER). They voted quite unanimously, based on the three winners' contribution to protecting the environment
