Style House Files is a Nigeria-based organisation working at the intersection of fashion, culture, and industry, with a focus on strengthening local fashion ecosystems. Through research, collaboration, and industry initiatives, the organisation connects designers, makers, and stakeholders across the value chain.

Through Project Irapada, backed by BESTSELLER Foundation, Style House Files mapped how textile waste moves across Lagos, from production and use to disposal and reuse. The work provides a clearer understanding of how materials flow in one of Africa’s largest fashion hubs, where large volumes of textile waste coexist with strong traditions of repair, reuse, and entrepreneurship.

By building this insight, the project highlighted opportunities to reduce waste and create more value locally. It provided insights to designers, garment makers, recyclers, and communities on how to work more closely together, contributing to new ways of using materials and strengthening opportunities across the sector.

At the same time, the projected paved the way for inform future investments and collaborations that can support jobs, reduce waste, and strengthen the role of fashion in the local economy.
