Women + Water is a collaborative initiative working to improve access to safe water and sanitation in water-stressed communities in India. By bringing together companies across sectors, the programme takes a shared approach to addressing water challenges.

The work focuses on improving access to water through conservation and better infrastructure, while supporting healthier and more resilient communities. It also recognises the central role women play in managing water in their daily lives – yet their participation in decision-making around water resources remains low.

By strengthening women’s voice and participation, the initiative contributes to more equal access to water and supports stronger foundations for everyday life and livelihoods.
